How it works

From photo to next step in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Capture a leaf photograph

Photograph one tomato leaf in daylight, with the spots, yellowing or curling clearly visible.

  2. Step 2

    Upload and analyse

The photo is checked, stored privately and analysed by a computer-vision model trained on leaf images.

  3. Step 3

    Understand the result

See the possible match, how confident the model is, and safe next steps — saved to your history.

Your result

Clear answers, with the uncertainty shown

Crop decisions affect your income. So every result tells you what the model thinks, how sure it is, and what it cannot tell you.

A possible match — or an honest “not sure”

When the model is confident it names the closest condition it knows. When it is not, it says so instead of guessing.

A clearly labelled confidence score

You see the model's score for its top match, with a plain explanation that it is not a guarantee.

Practical, safe next steps

Signs to look for, cultural practices that help, and cautions — from a guidance library maintained by agricultural reviewers.

When to call an expert

Every result reminds you to confirm with an agricultural extension officer before acting, especially before any spraying.

Supported crops

Starting with tomato — and doing it properly

We support one crop well before adding more. The app lists exactly which tomato leaf conditions the current model can recognise; anything else is reported as uncertain.

Features

Designed for real farm decisions

Computer-vision screening

A trained image classifier — not a chatbot — compares your photo with the leaf conditions it has learned.

Scan history

Each scan is saved privately to your dashboard so you can look back at what you saw and when.

Made for your phone

Works in the browser on everyday smartphones. No app download needed.

Private by default

Photos are stored privately, shown only through short-lived links, and location data is removed on upload.

No chemical prescriptions

AgroVision AI never gives pesticide brands, doses or mixing instructions.

Growing with evidence

New crops are added only once there is reliable data and testing behind them.

Why it matters

Earlier attention, better-informed decisions

Leaf symptoms are often the first visible sign of a problem. Noticing them early — and knowing when to call an expert — can help you act before a problem spreads and avoid spending money on the wrong treatment.

Responsible AI and limitations

  • • Results are possible matches, not definitive diagnoses.
  • • Pests, nutrient problems, weather stress and diseases can look alike in a photo.
  • • The model learned from public reference images; its accuracy on Nigerian farm photos has not yet been measured.
  • • When the model is unsure, it says so and suggests a better photo or expert help.
  • • No pesticide brands, doses or mixing instructions are ever given.

FAQ

Common questions

Which crops are supported?

Tomato leaves only, for now. Cassava and maize are planned, but will only be added once there is enough reliable data and testing.

Is the result a diagnosis?

No. It is a screening result that suggests what a symptom may indicate. Confirm with an agricultural extension officer before acting, especially before using any chemical.

What does the confidence score mean?

It is the model's internal score for its top match. It is not a guaranteed probability of being right. Below a set level, AgroVision AI reports the result as uncertain.

Who can see my photos?

Only you, plus authorised reviewers checking uncertain or reported results — and every reviewer view is logged. See our privacy policy for details.
